Liceo de Cervantes Barranquilla is a catholic school from the Order of Saint Augustine; represented in Colombia by Provincia de Nuestra Señora de Gracia. With 53 years of history, excellence and tradition; recognizing the needs of our current society as well as the globalization, since the year 2007 the school started to develop a bilingual program, under the CLIL ( content and language integrated learning ) methodology and immersing our students in a bilingual environment in which they take 50% of the weekly assignment in english; with the purpose of learning it as a second language.
In 2019 the first cycle ends, as we graduate our first bilingual class, certified by Cambridge University with a B2 level. This important accomplishment becomes the starting point for even greater ones.
Our school curriculum is delivered in english and spanish from Preschool to 11th grade. We give our students the opportunity to strengthen both languages using the communicative approach.
